About the RIFC Attendance Matters Challenge: 

Rhode Island is teaming up with the Rhode Island Football Club (RIFC) to launch the RIFC Attendance Matters Challenge — a high-energy, statewide effort to get students to show up, stay engaged, and finish the school year strong. 

This challenge builds on Rhode Island’s nationally recognized #AttendanceMatters strategy, which treats attendance as a team sport — where schools, families, communities, and partners all play a critical role in student success. As an Attendance Champion, RIFC is helping bring that message to life in a powerful, visible way across communities statewide. 

Together with RIFC, we’re bringing new energy and visibility to a simple but powerful message: 

Showing up matters — in school, in sports, and in life. 

How The RIFC Attendance Matters Challenge Works: 

The RIFC Attendance Matters Challenge runs from April 27 through May 22 — a four-week, statewide push to finish the school year strong. 

Each week, schools across Rhode Island are recognized for highest weekly attendance and most  improved week-over-week attendance. Across elementary, middle, and high schools — a total of 24 schools statewide will be celebrated. 

Attendance is tracked weekly, with winners announced the following week. 
That means new schools are recognized every week throughout the challenge. 

Winning schools receive: 

• 🎟️ ~30 tickets to the June 6 RIFC Kids Night game  

• ⭐ Opportunities to recognize Attendance All-Stars  

• 🎉 Access to school-specific ticket promotions  

• ➡️ 700+ tickets will be awarded statewide  

The RIFC Attendance Challenge Winners:

• Week of May 11 – May 15 
  Winners announced the week of May 18
